Family Research.
Discover your family roots.
Chilvers Coton Heritage Centre offers a dedicated research room designed to support visitors exploring their family history and local connections. Located in our Mosedale room, this space provides a welcoming, focused environment where individuals can begin, continue, or deepen their genealogical research with expert guidance.
Visitors have access to a range of resources, including leading online genealogy platforms such as Findmypast and Ancestry, as well as extensive paper-based records, local archives, and historical reference materials. Our experienced research team is on hand to assist at every stage of the journey — from helping those just starting to trace their family tree, to supporting researchers who may have reached a “brick wall” in their investigations.
Whether uncovering census records, parish details, or local historical context, we aim to provide the tools and expertise needed to bring family histories to life.
